NEWMAN COURT APARTMENTS

The Newman Court Apartment complex has 172 units, that were originally built in 1972. It is an affordable housing community, with all units being Section 8 assisted living units.

We are currently rehabilitating all 172 units. Specifically, we are installing new kitchen cabinets, flooring, sinks, and energy-efficient appliances. We also will update the bathrooms with new cabinets, sinks, and bathtubs. We will install new HVAC systems and new hot water tanks. We will install new windows, entry doors, and door walls. We will also install new LVT flooring and carpeting. We then will paint all the walls and ceilings. Outside we will install all new siding, shingles, gutters, and downspouts.

In the clubhouse, we are going to rehabilitate the offices, restrooms, the exercise room, the multi-purpose room with kitchenette, the library, and the sitting area.

To improve the security of the complex, we will implement a “line of site” landscape plan (cutting down the overgrowth). We will also install a camera surveillance system.

Exterior rehabilitation efforts will include updating the lighting, fixing concrete, and installing a new asphalt parking lot.
