GRATIOT CENTRAL COMMONS
As of March 2018, demolition and site work are complete, we are pouring the footings, and the masons are installing the block.
This is a new construction of a 52,000-square-foot, four-story building that will have 36 affordable housing units and ground-floor retail space facing the street.
The Gratiot Central Commons will be situated between two existing mixed-use buildings. The Detroit Catholic Pastoral Alliance owns 8900 Gratiot and 9200 Gratiot. This building will create a seamless stretch of storefronts along a commercial corridor challenged by decades of disinvestment and blight.
